Let's talk about the things
you are interested in

We’ll be happy to help you with any pediatric topic you would like to understand better or have questions about. Whether it’s a topic you have read about and would like to know expert opinion or you simply need advice. Consultation can take 30, 60, 90 minutes or even longer. Let´s have a look at some topics to discuss.

Prenatal consultation

Educational conversation before a baby is born about the delivery and what follows immediately after from baby´s point of view. What are the first days and weeks with a newborn like? How to handle, bathe and dress a newborn? How to take care of their umbilical cord?

Frequent illnesses

Do you feel like your child´s being sick too often? It doesn’t have to be true necessarily. Perhaps a more profound and detailed examination will give us some answers. The health of your and our children is of the biggest importance to us.

Psychomotor development

Should they be lifting their legs already? When will they start rolling? Should I help or is it better to let a baby figure it out themselves? If you have any concerns about the psychomotor development of your baby, do not hesitate to contact us and we will talk about it in detail and examine the little one in case of a personal consultation.

First vaccination

This is an educational conversation before the very first vaccination. We will talk about the obligatory vaccines, what infections they protect against, and we will also go through the possible side effects and how to deal with them.

Incorrect posture

Have you noticed your teenager having poor posture? Or perhaps your pediatrician came up with this conclusion and recommended your child to start physiotherapy. Would you like to find out how it came about and if it’s serious? Or would you like to talk about alternative ways of dealing with this problem?

And many many more other topics 🙂

Frequent questions

Personal consultation at our outpatient office costs 29EUR/30 minutes. Consultations at home or online cost 49EUR/30 minutes.

We will be happy to come to your home. The only thing you have to do is to book the consultation.

We would like to answer your questions by email. To answer them properly, we need enough time. We would like to kindly ask you to book your consultation of 30 or 60 minutes, and we will answer your email within this time frame.

Yes, any new patients are welcome. You can book your consultation once or do it repeatedly. We are always there to help you.

Yes, absolutely. There are many pediatric topics that can be discussed without patient’s presence. We’ll be happy to welcome any family member at our office or anyone taking care of children in their profession.

No, we do not prescribe any medications. We can recommend suitable over-the-counter medicines to you. If we conclude that your child needs prescription medicine (e.g.antibiotics), we will advise you to contact your pediatrician. The truth is, however, prescriptions are rather rare when it comes to general pediatrics and they typically include antibiotics (children usually suffer from viral infections, in which case no prescription medication is needed).

Our medical software offers a protected video consultation tool called CLICKDOC. We will connect via a safe link that will be sent to your mailbox. This way you can connect with us via mobile phone, tablet or computer.

We can speak Slovak and English, doctor Legrand (doki Katka) speaks French and doctor Lopes Rua (doki Elenka) speaks Portuguese.

Podcasts

Your OKiDOKi doctors like sharing their knowledge and educating people around in this way. That’s why we’ve started producing podcasts. Listen to any of them and perhaps we can discuss some of those topics during the consultation.
